RC10T jumping pictures

Here are some pictures of my RC10T jumping. I believe I was using an 8-cell 1700 SCE battery, with a modified motor (I can't remember what motor). I did this many years ago, in the early '90's. I ended up canabalizing this truck for both a Duratrx RC10T gas conversion and later an RC10GT. I've still got most parts kicking around though. . . I did a couple practice jumps before parking the car under the jump, just to make sure it would clear. Needless to say my Mom wasn't home at the time (it was her car!).

The car is a 1981 Toyota Tercel.

My brother took the pictures -- I was standing roughly in-line with the jump about 50 feet away. As you can see in the first picture, we were a bit concerned about missing and busting the windshield. As you can see, it cleared with so much room, we didn't bother with the matress for the rest of the jumps.

This looked like a very nice jump. In every one of the jumps, I managed to land on the wheels, but only in the first jump and this jump did my truck end up on its wheels. The other tims it ended up bouncing onto its roof.

My brother got close up in this one. The flight attitude was a bit off. In all of the jumps, the only part that broke was the rear upper camber links kept popping off. Not really a breakage, but I couldn't drive away.

It was definately fun! After a couple practice jumps and 4 photo passes, the battery was dead (it was geared to go way fast!), and I figured I'd stop while I was still ahead. Who says racing trucks aren't tough?
